Reading For Pleasure

Junior Library Junior Library
One reads in the press that children no longer enjoy reading and prefer instead to watch TV or play computer games. At The Towers this is not true. Thanks to generous donations from parents, the Book Fair and the PTA, the library has increased in popularity and is a favourite place to go and relax for a lunch play. The children have access to a wide variety of reading materials, which include the popular Aquila magazine funded by the PTA.

Our latest authoress
Newcomer to Year 5, Calista, has published her first novel ‘Losing Hope’ which is all about three Roman children who embark on a mysterious adventure and is well worth a read. The book is available to borrow in the Junior School Library. Calista with her novel Losing Hope
