Snowed-up!
This year's Towers ski trip travelled out to Les Menuires,
part of The Three valleys resort, in France. We arrived on the 17th December to
find that it was snowing heavily across the mountainous region. It then snowed
and snowed and snowed! Well over a metre of snow fell throughout the week.
AMAZING! The girls had a fantastic time on the slopes in their ski lessons. All
learned new skills and had plenty of time to play in the magical white stuff
called powder! Après-ski included a great bum boarding evening where we started
descending in ones, then twos, then fours and eventually a train of twenty...A
definite case of WIPE OUT! The annual and inevitable 'black bin bag' game
emerged on another evening where the Towers girls definitely showed the
neighbouring Farlington group how to dress up! Their costumes ranged from a frog
to a cow, included Pat Butcher, (may she rest in peace!) Justin Bieber and even
the Olsen twins as well as an excellent Harry Potter! There were even a few
versions of Miss Miles found wandering around the hotel! On another evening the
girls enjoyed devising their own exotic non-alcoholic cocktail drinks (some
tasting better than others!) The final night was a disco joining up with several
other schools. A great trip was had by all, arriving home safely to families on
Christmas Eve.
Thanks for another great trip girls!
