I am delighted to inform you that the year 9 rounder’s team won the Davison
tournament! We played many different schools but our best game was against
Littlehampton, with a score of 1-12, our best score yet! We were all quite
disappointed though because we lost one game against Angmering and thought we
came second but, in the semi-finals we played against Chatsmore and won. We then
went on to the finals and played Davison and won this game too! I was so pleased
with the team that I brought them all sweets, but the best player (and player of
match) was Georgia P. This was because she was a brilliant fielder and her
hitting was just as good. Unfortunately we only got certificates and we all
thought we would get medals or maybe even a trophy but this didn’t dampen our
mood, and at the end of the day we were all really proud of ourselves!

Here are the match reports for the U14 A rounders team, Tuesday 18th May.
Match 1: Towers vs Woodard Academy The Towers fielding wasn't brilliant at the
start of the game but we soon picked it up and stopped many rounders. In the
end, Woodard managed to score 1 rounder. The Towers batting skills were very
good in this game, with nearly every team member scoring a rounder, ending the
innings 15-1 to Towers. Zoe M was voted player of the match for her excellent
fielding and amazing batting. Well Done to the team!
Match 2: Towers vs Lancing College We weren't expecting to play Lancing College
today but everybody still played fantastically. Towers had to bat first and
Lancing had a very strong fielding team, making it hard to score. At the start
of the innings it wasn't looking good for Towers but by everyone's second bat,
we were starting to score. By the end of the innings we had scored 7 and 1/2
rounders. Towers fielded very well with Megan L making some brilliant catches
and Sophie J being quick to her post to get people out. Lancing managed to score
5 and 1/2 rounders which means that Towers are through to the finals of the
league next week. Megan L was player of the match for her skillful bowling and
incredible catches. Well Done to everyone who played!

Year 5 Match Report
Year 5 played a rounders match against Burgess Hill School Girls it was an
amazing game thanks to our team, Phoebe M, Nicole V, Isabella S, Harriet McG,
Camille J-H, Elysia T, Lucy W, Meghan N, Daisy T and Saoirse D.
We all played our very best led by Nicole V, our team captain for this match.
The weather was ok and nothing could keep our spirits down. We had a wonderful
time thanks to our great P.E. teacher Miss O’Neill. The score was 15-17 to
Burgess Hill but we still tried our hardest and took part, so all in all it was
a great match.
