On Wednesday 10th of February,
the Tower’s Under 11’s played away at Sion. Miss Goodchild chose 10 people to
play in the match, and every person worked extremely well. Every one had a
chance to play and at the end, the score was 16 – 6. I (Chloe) got off to a
really good start, but at the end of each quarter, I had to keep swapping on and
off with Emily S. Both Emily and I (Chloe) shot loads of goals as well
me, (Ellie). Lucy S played brilliantly even though she was injured.
Unfortunately the year fives lost 17 – 3, even though they tried their hardest
and played really well. We couldn’t have won if we didn’t have everybody on the
team: Emily S, Ellie W, Lucy S, Holly T, Holly FM,
Chloe B, Erica N, Izy J, Kezzi B-S and Abi M. We
were all very glad that Sion had improved their tactics and their game play, as
last time we played them, we won 23-1, and the time before that we beat them
20-0.Their GA had improved probably the most, as she intercepted lots of balls,
and made some awesome shots. The main thing is that we all played and had fun,
and we might have even of lost if it wasn’t for our umpire Miss Goodchild, who
for some of us, is our teacher.

On Wednesday the third of February, the Tower’s under 11’s netball team played
away, against at Burgess Hill.We had nine players, and for Holly FM, it was her
first match, and she played very well. We were slightly late, as Miss Goodchild
got lost, so we only played two twelve minute halves, rather than four eight
minute quarters. In the first half of the game, we were winning 2-1, and then
disaster struck, our GA, Me (Ellie) fell over and had to come off! Miss
Goodchild decided to put Me (Chloe) on, after half time, the score was 5-3 to
us.
In the second half, I (Ellie)
went back on as GA, and I(Chloe) went on as GS.For a while, we would get a goal
in, and then they would to, but then Chloe(GS) shot some amazing shots, and it
was 4-8, with not long to go, and then Burgess Hill shot another goal, but we
answered with a goal each from the GA and the GS. Finally it was over, and we
had won 10-5, and we hadn’t beaten them for about ten years. Miss Goodchild was
ecstatic! Everyone played amazingly well, and Lucy S and Holly FM were players
of the match.
After the match, we had refreshments in the canteen, which were very
nice. When we had eaten the refreshments, we left. Miss Goodchild said that they
were very bad losers, and that that made winning even better. We couldn’t of won
though without the help of everyone on the team: Emily S, Ellie W, Lucy S, Holly
T, Holly FM, Chloe B, Izy J, Erica N and Kezzi BS.
